This has been an issue for many weeks, but I'm not sure exactly when it started.
When I'm subscribed to a thread/topic (usually only if I've posted in that thread), the majority of the email notifications I receive about new posts lists posts I've already read, no new posts, or my last post in the thread. This takes at least a few hours to get sent to me, but is irrelevant (the most recent post being my one and only to the thread); send too much information (old posts); or sends recent posts that I've already read (viewing the thread, which the forum db should recognize).
The most recet example is an notification for
this]thread which I posted in over 12 hours ago. I posted a 7:20pm CST on May 30 (GMT -6:00) and received an email with all 6 posts to the thread (including my one and only) at 11:02pm CST on May 30 (GMT -6:00). Nearly 4 hours later, I was sent the notification with many errors which should've prevented the email from beign sent: all posts in the thread were included in the email; posts prior to my first post in the thread were included; no truly new posts were appended to the thread; my own post in the thread seemed to be the reason for the email to be sent; the email for the "new" post (my own) was sent 4 hours later.
I'd say a much larger percentage of my email notifications are unwarranted, misleading and/or contain irrelevant/old information. Only one out of a handful of emails contain something needed, but usually still has errors by containing old posts, including my own.
Any ideas on what the deal is? This doesn't happen on other Vbulletin 3.x forums I'm a member of.
