Problems registering at BigBlueBall? Read this!

We currently use email validation for membership at BigBlueBall. What does this mean? When you sign-up you'll be asked for your email address. Once you complete the registration form, we'll send you an email at the address you entered.

This email is important. In the email will be a validation link. You must click that validation link in order to complete the membership process. Until you do, you won't be able to post in the forums.

This email is normally sent immediately, but it may take a few minutes. Sometimes this email is misdirected to a junk mail folder, so if it's been more than five or ten minutes and you still haven't received the confirmation email, check your junk mail folder. While you're at it, be sure to tell your mail provider that it's not junk.

One of the most common problems with registration occurs when people enter [username]@bigblueball.com. Unless you are on the staff here, you do not have a valid @bigblueball.com email address, and you'll never receive the necessary confirmation email.

You'll have to register with a valid, existing email account. If you don't have email yet (is there really anyone in that category?), you can get a free email account at Yahoo, Hotmail or Gmail.

So please, remember to use a valid email address when registering at BigBlueBall.
