World of Warcraft . . . anyone?

When I realized that I was spending quite a bit of time playing, talking about, thinking about, and even dreaming about WoW, I decided to take a quiz to see if I am truly addicted to the game (as some in my family seem to think). The first page shows the opening screenshot, so I just had to see more. According to this one, I am 37% addicted and I really enjoy it. But if this is 37% I can't imagine being more.

So, do you get an adrenaline rush when you're involved in a group melee? Do you like the way your character looks in their armor? Do you enjoy the conversation when running between quests? Do you have to step back for just a little bit to give your heart a moment to recover from the action? Yes, my newbity is showing. This is my first gaming experience and, as we know, the first time is always extra exciting and special.

So . . . are you into WoW, or is there another MMORPG that has your attention.

Hi PolarBear:

I don't play World of Warcraft myself, but I recently saw this book in one of the bookstores here. Do you have it in the States?

WoW? Of course

I'm Fudinas, a funny looking Dwarf Paladin.
Tough melee fighter, with excellent defensive skills, and a nice variety of spells. All in all, a mixture of a warrior and a priest

Current level: 47

Heh - a *friend* just sent this link as a warning for mixing real life and on-line gaming. No worries . . . I'm not gonna confuse what happens in the game with what happens in real life. /wink

I hear you! This is the first game I've played (other than some monster truck and destruction derby ones) and am amazed at how much fun I'm having. Well - and the Eye Toy was fun, too . . . but gave quite a workout sometimes - and I don't want sore muscles after gaming. Zelda and Mario and all those other 'toons had no attraction for me when I tried them other than playing with the kids which is always fun.

It did take some learning how to move and such, and I do have frustrations over lag time and have had to try to figure out why I get booted off the server so much (probably because I'm on an Aussie server); but it's fun - killing panthers and such. I do hate the murloc quests; but enjoy working with other players (usually) to complete the quests. And there's no better feeling (in the game) than ding. Well - I still get an adrenaline rush when it's been a big battle and I (or we) just barely win.

Ok - now I've got to get to work . . . thinking of WoW.

Anna will become famous soon enough (50)
Played for 2 years.
HWL-geared UD Mage.

(Also, let it be known, 2.5K frostbolt crits > you)

Edit: Sorry, didn't realize you're a lowbie.
HWL = High Warlord = highest horde PvP rank on any given server before Blizzard ditched the old PvP system and brought in the new one with the recent expansion. (Only one person can be a HWL per server)

What server are you playing on? I have a bunch of alts kicking around on various servers... maybe I can hop on and power level you through some zones.

And keep at it, seriously. End game content is fun stuff -- the thought of hitting 70 might seem boring since there's no more grinding to be done, but Blizzard always find a way to compensate for it. Level 70 is basically a brand new game entirely.
