The good folks over at Meebo have done it again. In response to feedback that some companies and organizations have blocked Meebo access, they've released Meebo Repeater. Repeater is a small, open-source and experimental project designed to help you run Meebo, even if access is normally blocked where you are.
Meebo Repeater is a good alternative to third-party proxies, which pose potential security risks. With proxies, whoever runs the proxy could theoretically lift your password and other info. If you're a Meebo fan and your school or company blocks access, Repeater might just help you out. Of course, if your company or organization blocks access, there might be a good reason for it, and working around that block might violate one or more rules, so use it responsibly and with discretion. As Sandy says, "Practice safe meebo!" Last edited by Jeff : 05-19-2006 at 08:42 PM.

Thanks!
