Sim Card

I'm having to replace my cell phone with a new one due to issues with my old one (Yes, this is the first time I ever have issues with a cell phone). My question is: What exactly gets tranferred over to my new phone with the sim card?

I know the phone numbers saved on the sim card vs the phone get moved but what else?

I have some things on my calender/notes/messages that I'd love to get moved but would that require me doing something different?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I will mention though that as of tomorrow when I get the new phone - I have 15 days to return this one. Keep in mind I can't keep this old phone even on longer than probably 30mins to an hour before it wants to die...... So basically I have a few days to get the information I need.

Oh and should I delete any information before sending the old phone back?

EDIT: I forgot to add what type of phone I have!

I have a Motorola Pebl.

I told my psychiatrist that everyone hates me. He said I was being ridiculous - everyone hasn't met me yet.

The SIM card will have contact information and SMS messages. Nothing else should be on there. Your contacts and SMS's are, however, not necessarily on the SIM, they can also be stored only on the phone. You'll need to save those calendar and notes manually (unless they are somehow stored as messages.. I doubt it).

The Pebl is a p2k-based phone, so you will be able to connect using the p2kman software, or with Motorola Phone Tools. MPT will be able to pull off the data somehow, I don't know if you can with p2kman directly.

The people at the store should be able to help you out, Nessa. And as per our chat, play dumb and dress seductively (hee hee) and they shouldn't charge you for it.
