Antepo, Inc., the leading provider of interoperable Instant Messaging infrastructure software,today announced availability of ACCEPT Messaging Server 3.2, its full-feature Instant Messaging and Presence server with built-in interoperability for Jabber/XMPP and SIP/SIMPLE-based Lotus Instant Messaging (Sametime) networks.

This new release brings a superior commercial enterprise alternative on the Jabber/XMPP side together with openness to existing SIP/SIMPLE-based networks deployed in production. ACCEPT Messaging Server’s architecture
enables the rapid development of federated connectivity across Jabber and Lotus Sametime systems. It manages and translates Presence updates and messages between Jabber/XMPP and SIP/SIMPLE standards, enabling users on different servers to communicate using their native protocols.

"Antepo’s primary markets are specialized enterprises and service providers that operate extended Presence and Instant Messaging networks across corporate and community boundaries as a method of collaborating with customers, suppliers and other players in their industry." says Maxime Seguineau, CEO. "Our focus is on bridging to relevant and leading players in the marketplace. Lotus Sametime is the largest enterprise IM installed base. Our customers will appreciate not having to make a bet on one standard when it comes to federation."

Federation, or "server-to-server connectivity," describes the ability for IM servers to communicate in a distributed network using trusted relationships, and without requiring users to establish separate credentials
on each system to which they wish to communicate. ACCEPT Messaging Server can be configured:

  • as a full-feature Instant Messaging server with built-in interoperability with existing Jabber/XMPP and Lotus Sametime systems;

  • as a transparent gateway between existing Jabber/XMPP and Lotus Sametime systems.

ACCEPT Messaging Server interoperates with Lotus Sametime v3.0, Service Pack 1 and above.
