Gizmo Project connects to Google Talk

Posted by Jeff Jeff is offline on 01-18-2006, 04:58 PM

The Gizmo Project VoIP program from SIPPHONE is one of the big names to announce federation with Google Talk. Before you get excited, they currently only exchange instant messages -- not voice chats -- though voice interoperability is promised.

The Gizmo Project web site has step-by-step instructions with screen shots showing how to add a Google Talk user, or for Google Talk users to add a Gizmo Project user.

If you'd like to give it a try, you can launch Google Talk and add my Gizmo Project name: jhester@chat.gizmoproject.com
