Seems like a great program but when I type in my information, it says "Connected to the Internet", then "connecting..." and just hangs there. It doesn't connect. I'm positive my username and password are right, and this program would be so awesome... if only it worked. Ideas?

Spike: What this means is that the software is unable to make a network connection to Google's servers. Are you sure your internet is working, and you are not on a limited connection (WAP).

The software tries to connect to talk.google.com on port 5222, and that is failing.

OctroTalk has some issues connecting via ActiveSync. Please remove the sync cable, and OctroTalk should be able to connect fine using wifi, gprs/edge/cdma etc.

BTW, OctroTalk has progressed very well, and now supports MSN/Yahoo/AIM/ICQ as well as GoogleTalk.

Well, a little while after making my last comment, I got it to work. Out of all the messengers I've tried for Windows Mobile, this one I like the most. I'll get the updated version and try out the other transports as well. Thanks!

Current trial version does not expire

The current TRIAL version of OctroTalk is v1.19. It shows that it expires on 7-31-07, but now it will not expire till Octro decides about the pricing of the product.

I only wish OctroTalk worked with my iPAQ hw6515, which only runs Windows Mobile 2003.
