![]() A wave of instant messaging products, including a re-opening of Trillian Astra on the Web, a new alpha release of Trillian Astra for iPhone and a new weekly build of Trillian Astra for Windows, had been released by Cerulean Studios during the week. According to the developers' blog, Trillian Astra for iPhone is now available for alpha testers, boasting a secure HTTPS connection, UI designed for iPhone, auto-reconnection for the Safari browser, as well as Trillian-only features such as Metacontacts, saved list of accounts, and emoticons. Trillian Astra alpha testers can also connect to IM networks via the Trillian Astra web site using Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari on a PC or a Mac. The IM is built completely in Flash, and features a brand new connection manager that allows multiple connections to the same IM network. It also features many Trillian-only features that are not found in other web-based IMs, such as drag-and-drop tabbed windows, metacontacts and widgets. Meanwhile, they had also launched a brand-new feature tour for newcomers. For more details, please head over to the Cerulean Studios' blog.
