Jaiku adds instant messaging
Lifestream service Jaiku has added Jabber-based instant messaging to their feature set.Jaiku is a free service similar to Twitter where you can sent short messages via the web or your mobile phone and your friends (followers) can keep up with whatever is on your mind. In some ways, it's like microblogging. With the addition of Jabber instant messaging, Jaiku provides another simple way for sending updates. To use the new feature, you'll need to add jaiku@jaiku.com to your Jabber-based IM program (such as Psi). The new feature doesn't let you IM your friends directly, but instead lets you send and receive Jaiku updates via your instant messenger. For all the details read the official announcement on the Jaiku blog. |
