Skype on iPod, really cool!
During the last months there was a lot of noise about Skype availability on mobile. Skype native client for Windows Mobile platforms working only in hotspots zones stimulated mobile developers to create 3rd party software enabling Skype on BlackBerry RIM, Symbian, Palm, Windows Mobile and J2ME. Large list of 3rd party freeware and shareware products offer Skype support on mobile handsets at a low SkypeOut rates or even for free if it comes to WiFi VoIP.
Stuttgart based SHAPE Services has recently announced the availability of its IM+ for Skype, Safari-based application for Apple’s iPhone on new iPod Touch. Impossible, but fact. The web program at s4iphone.com allows to make Skype calls from iPod by setting stationary phone number as a location. Once the user presses “Call” button, the call comes back to specified number, connecting a Skype contact on the other side. Last edited by Jeff; 10-29-2007 at 05:24 PM. |

"The web program IM+ for Skype, iPhone/iPod Touch version IM+ for Skypy, allows to make Skype calls from iPod by setting stationary phone number as a location"
Not only stationary, it may be your mobile number or your SkypeIn. I've tried both of these options and think it works wonderfully. Highly recommend! |
