Google Talk Federates with Jabber Servers

Big news for IM interoperability-- Google has opened their Google Talk servers (Jabber servers, technically) to allow federation with other Jabber servers.

What does this mean for you? Well, if you use Jabber or Google Talk, you'll be able to IM across servers. For all the details, check out the Google Talk developer's blog and read Gary Burd's announcement.
