Google Talk: Code Name Cricket? (and other things of interest)
So I ran googletalk through strings.exe (output can be found here: http://www.princessfrozen.com/gtalk.txt) and a couple things of interest made it seem like Google Talk was code named Cricket in house.
Line 1487 : c:\cricket_builds\64\sources\googleclient\experime ntal\phone\app\statusmenu.h Line 1492: ../../cricket/xmpp/xmpplib\buzz/saslcookiemechanism.h Line 1492: ../../cricket/xmpp/xmpplib\buzz/saslplainmechanism.h Also of interest were these things: Line 1457: http://www.google.com/xmpp/protocol/voice/v1 Line 1458: http://www.google.com/xmpp/protocol/session Line 1556: http://www.google.com/xmpp/client/caps Line 1563: http://www.google.com/xmpp/client/caps# Line 1569: http://www.google.com/session/phone I'm sure there's some other interesting stuff in there, thats just what stood out to me. |

Well, I scanned through it quick, and most of it's basic, you can find some of the behind-the-scenes stuff in there.
For instance, as I looked quickly, I saw some HTTP Request Modes for talking to Google's server no doubt, some eror messages, a few wave file names, and this caught my eye, too: Quote:
