Problem connecting Google Talk to Yahoo

I followed the instructions for connecting Google Talk with other messenger services from here:

And it works beautifully for ICQ. But I cannot get the connection to Yahoo to work.


I use yahoo.jaim.at to connect to the Yahoo Messenger Network. And it works fine when I use my Google Talk account with Psi. It also works fine when I use the Chat functionality inside Gmail.

But when I use the Google Talk Client for Windows, the Yahoo transport and the Yahoo contacts are always offline. And I cannot chat with them.

I also tried to connect to yahoo through other servers. Resulting in another problem: I could chat with my yahoo contacts but they were still shown as offline.

yahoo.jaim.at is using another, fairly new, software as yahoo transport. That's probably the reason why the problems are different on other servers.


Do you have any idea how to fix the problem?
Is there a better way to connect to Yahoo from Google Talk?
Do you have this problem when connection to Yahoo or is it just me?

It's a problem with using transports that way, see it is sorta hack, so there will be bugs like the offline stuff. There isn't a fix until Google Talk actually supports it...which doesn't look like it will happen soon.
