Yahoo! Messenger Enterprise edition is discontinued.

Yahoo! pulled out of the enterpise IM market some time ago.

Its ending months of development, Yahoo! actually renamed it "Yahoo! Business Messenger".

I still have screeenshots of my "Enterprise Edition", not the newer versions of "Business Messenger". (see attachment)

Anyway, Yahoo! Enterprise Messenger is history. They had a weak market response for enterprise class IM.

I clicked/voted Yahoo! EE anyway.

We use the instant messenger that is built into Lotus Notes 6.x.

I have to take this opportunity to say that with the fire of 10,000 suns I hate Lotus Notes.

I am right behind you there, Indy. We use Lotus Notes at work as well, and I HATE IT. It is the only software program that generates such vile, venomous feelings of dread and hatred. DIE, NOTES, DIE!

Ah.. I feel much better now. Now that I've got that off my chest, I've got a question for you Indy. Is the "built-in" instant messenger in Lotus Notes different than Lotus Sametime (what I use at work)? Because if it's Sametime, were you aware that there is a Sametime plug-in for Trillian Pro?

Well, I am not really sure we're "Allowed" to d/l anything on our PC's at work. But we were told by one of the secretaries that she communicates with our "big" boss on IM...so I'll find out if we're allowed to do what the "big" kids get to do

I believe it is. Unfortunately, as I've mentioned in my connection thread (http://www.bigblueball.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=30974), I haven't been able to get anything but Yahoo and ICQ proper to work on my work laptop. :|

We're allowed to use only MSN and IM+ Enterprise (SSL). On the go I prefer to stay online from BlackBerry with IM+ (it covers 5 IM services and collect all buddies in one buddy list).
