windows messenger in lan

hi
how can i use windows messenger in a lan without connecting to internet?
i want to chat with my colleagues in our company.
i khow i can do it with Exchange 2000,but i am working with Exchange 2003.
what can i do?
i realy need it & it's necessary for me.
please help me!
