Corp Soft company presents OnLAN Messenger
Hi, everyone!
Let me introduce myself. My name is Evgeny and I will be the authorized representative of Corp Soft company (Corpsoft.org) on BBB forums. I've been viewing and reading BBB for a long time and decided that as long as it's the professional source of information on everything, which deals with IM, it would be interesting both for you and us to communicate here. The form of this communication will be, as forum format hints us, free and informal. I am going to present and discuss with you our business IM software - OnLAN Messenger and expect that it will be of interest for you. This topic will provide information on the Corp Soft's IM software, its features, news, interesting facts and more. You may ask questions, tell me what you think, and join the discussion. I hope that it will be not advertising or something, but feedback and live discussion, that's what I'm here for! So, welcome friends!

OnLAN Messenger overview
Now let me give you a product overview.
To start with, as it goes from the name of the software OnLAN Messenger messaging service is a client-server multi-user application for instant messaging and file exchange working on LAN. This product has been developed for using within corporate networks (enterprise instant messenger), therefore its functions and settings are primarily meant for handling the needs of organizations of all sizes, providing a safe and configurable tool for instant messaging and receiving necessary user information. The main difference between OnLAN Messenger and other similar programs (ICQ, Jabber, MSN etc) is that OnLAN Messenger is easily modifiable and features flexible security policies, which can be set up on the server and made mandatory for all clients. Program features are designed specifically for corporate use: clients are unable to close the program, offline messages are enabled, message status (delivered, shown, read) is recorded, delivery is guaranteed, complete records of all messages are kept, etc. There is a free version of OnLAN Messenger and it has 5-user limit. If you have more than 5 users in your company you can buy license packages. |

Can you explain exactly what this means:
Quote:
How well does this application scale? How many clients can realistically use one server node, and is there an option of additional servers? |

Thank you for your questions, David.
Stream cipher and AES are used. The application scales really well, the bigger the number of users the stronger the hardware requirements. 1CPU 4CORE processor can operate 600-800 users. Should you have more questions, please ask. |
