Do you agree with 1 in 5 parents?

This article deals with Internet useage....do you agree that kids are spending too much time online?

My eldest spends about an hour every other day, and that's about it. But he prefers to be out.

As for other peoples kids listening to parents at work, I would say the answer is yes.

My kids - Nah - they're spending the right amount of time online . . . each spends different amounts of time based on whatever's happening in life for them. One spends "lots" of time online, doing all sorts of varied things, the other pops on intermittently for school stuff usually.

Some more interesting findings of that article are that "more than half the former users have no intention of returning online, the most ever. Overall, 60 percent of non-users have no plans to go online within the next year." and "Internet penetration has largely plateaued." Looks like maybe the wave we've been riding will become a nice place to paddle around in for awhile.

I think this report is funny. 1 in 5 parents thinks their kids spend too much time online? Why don't they pull the plug!? Seriously, they do have control of the situation.

My 'kids' are all adults, and mostly use the PC as a tool for homework, communications and entertainment.

What and hurt little Johnny's feelings? Oh - you're one of those type of parents, are you . . . well, that explains a lot, heh.

Woof! And as long as the kiddies don't know that . . . there's no problem keeping them in line.
