I keep it on if I'm in a chatty mood or if something special happened to me. If I don't feel talkative or nothing happened then the answer would have to be no.

Eh, not really. It doesn't make a different particularly because the people who IM me either have my number and will call me, or will just stop by if it's anything important. I've been known to even just take down different messengers when I'm online because I don't want to deal with the people. About the only time I ever kept it up when I wasn't online was when I was depressed and just CRAVED outside attention in order to distract myself, you know, like a month ago. *smirk* Hah!

No, I probably can't help you.
But I might be able to make you laugh and forget that you just nuked 16 hours of photoshop work.

I keep my computer on 24/7 and I got cable internet so it's always on 24/7 unless I have to restart my computer after installing something but than it goes straight back on... I put my away message on when i'm away...

I turn the computer on in my room when I get up. I check my e-mail and sign on to Trillian before I leave for school and then set everything to away. Then I check all the messages from friends or family that I get, then wait until they sign on to answer their question.

uh, since I hate booting my comp and I'm addicted to IM's yea i'm on AIM as long as I don't have to reboot then of course sign back on. I don't like MSN much so i'm never on, and yahoo i'm only on when i'm at the comp b/c ppl fool with it too much besides I get offline messages so I don't have to be online all the time.
