2-4 usually, until someone (stupidly) invites me into a 15-person conversation in which I immediatley block them. Trying to do more than 4 gets too complicated. It's hard to keep track of what everyone's saying.
Why is it that when adults have multiple personalities it's schizophrenia, but when a child has imaginary friends it's cute?

Right now I have about 2-4 open a day. Of course, sometimes I'll leave a discussion open for days before I actually close the window...

I usually talk to alot of ppl ...... most of the time I talk to like anyoe that is one..even if I don't liek then lol so I talk to 5-10 ppl at one time...... mostly like 6 or 5

I answered your poll on the main page and I selected 2-4. I don't often IM or exchange conversations with more than 4 people at a time. I also get annoyed by too many chat windows.
If I had more good looking chicks on my list maybe I'd be sending IMs out to 5 at a time .

Sometimes it's just one, sometimes 2-4, sometimes 5-10, depending on when and who I'm chatting with. But I voted for 2-4.
