Do you use tabbed IM windows?

Do you use the tabbed IM window feature of your IM client, or do you prefer the separate windows?

As said before...I would absolutely lose my mind if I didn't have tabbed windows. Separated by messenger or the content, like "Family" "Writters" "Annoying" and such *snickers*

No, I probably can't help you.
But I might be able to make you laugh and forget that you just nuked 16 hours of photoshop work.

Separate windows, personally, then the window flashes and I know who's talking to me!

Depends on the availability of keyboard shortcuts to jump inbetween IM tabs like a browser tab jump in Firefox. If not I'd prefer to use induvidual IM windows even though it makes my desktop look a bit ugly

I was using seperate windows for a long time but I recently decided I couldnt handle it anymore when i have a bunch of stuff usually open, so now it's tabbed windows for me (MSN).

The road to success is always under construction.

I at first used separate windows, but then back when DeadAIM first came out, I started using tabbing. I LOVED it, and I don't understand why. I switched to Trillian two years ago and although I toyed with containers and tabbing... I've never gone back, and never will. I like to see who IMed me based on my taskbar.

As soon as I found out about tabbed windows, I got it. It's much easier for me to keep track that way, and it also doesn't take up as much space on my taskbar.

i would probably lose my mind if not for tabbed windows. i like my firefox tabbed, i like my trillian tabbed, whatever i can put into tabs, all the better. the less clutter on my screen, the less clutter on my taskbar. i couldnt go back to non-tabbed IMs.

As I was going down the stair, I met a man who wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today; I wish I wish he'd go away.

I like using tabbed windows, its easy to navigate between them.

Yay! I always use separate windows.

I told my psychiatrist that everyone hates me. He said I was being ridiculous - everyone hasn't met me yet.
