IM and Security - One buddy list to rule them all

Ever so gradually, we're getting closer to unified instant messaging. By spring, users of Yahoo Messaging and Microsoft's MSN Messaging will be able to chatter across their border. Google and AOL are working on connecting their services.

IBM is soon offering users of its corporate messaging system, Lotus Sametime, to IM all their outside pals on Yahoo and AOL

But wait is this really a good idea? The WinCurity blog as a story called:
outlining some of the security concerns we should think about before summer 2006 is here and we have one buddy list only. It is quite scary if you worry about privacy and identity theft.
