Easy/simple way to extract music from the Touch to Windows?

I remember back in the day, no one figured out how to take the songs from the iPod and move them into Windows.

I'm sure there has to be a simple and easy way to do it now, right?

Yes, there are some simple (and free) third-party apps that will transfer your music from your iPod to your Windows PC. However, many of them aren't compatible with the iPod Touch. There are some commercial ones that are, and of those, CopyTrans has a 14-day free trial. I'd give that a shot:

Also, for a complete list, check the guide over at iLounge.

Pretty sure Media Monkey will do it. The free version is generally quite good. They have a great forum and there is a lengthy thread on the Touch.

Yeah, easy to do. Enable the disc mode in the iPod's preferences in iTunes, then uncheck "Do not show hidden files and folders" and all the files will be located in a hidden folder under the iPod drive under My Computer.

Probably still works for the touch.
