Having problems with my iPod.

Okay, yeah, it's an iPod Nano Chromatic (Purple), but it's pretty close to an iTouch. hehe.

Well, just the other day, when I was in the car listening to my music, my iPod was kind of bugging out. Like, when I clicked on a song, I could see the album artwork for like a split second, and then it would go back to the previous menu and nothing would play.

I decided to restart my iPod, and started listening to a few songs, but when I went to the same exact song, I had problems again. I decided to restart it again and the apple icon didn't appear. When I got home to plug it in to my computer I got this message saying, "iPod cannot be accesed because it has applications that are already in use".

I have no idea what that means, but what I did was I went to the control panel > system > Device Manager > and uninstalled my iPod USB cable to see if there was something wrong with the drive. The computer restarted and when it came back on, all of my songs synced with my iPod as if it were new one, after going through the "recovery" process. The iPod was turning on, and all was well.

I go to sleep and the next morning, when I wake up to turn it on, it doesn't come on. So, I'm guessing that it's the same problem. I haven't bothered it yet, but I'm going to try and uninstall it again and see what happens.

If you guys might know what the problem is, I would really appreciate your help. If not, then I have to go to Apple and return it for a new one. I have Windows, but once I get the money to save up for a Mac, I will throw this faulty piece of hardware away.

Hard to say exactly what the problem is, but being a newer model, it should still be under warranty.

If you live within driving distance of an Apple store, visit their website and make an appointment at the Genius Bar. They can help detect if there is a hardware problem. If it is, chances are the will replace it on the spot! They did mine.

UPDATE: I went to a friends house the other night to see if it was just my computer. Finally found out it wasn't. Tried a new USB cord, didn't work. Tried someones iPod on my computer, and it worked. It was the iPod itself all along.

Went to Apple and had no problem getting a new one. Thanks, Gandalf.
