Need help w/ IRC.
I am trying to set up an IRC acount to use with Trillian, but I'm not sure how to start. When I go into the "Manage My Connections" options, all the other messaging services have a way to sign up for an account if you dont have one. IRC on the other hand does not have that option. If someone could explain to me how I can set up an account, and what the difference between Server Alias, Nickname, and Username are it would be greatly apriciated.

IRC doesnt use "accounts" like the other networks, there's nothing to sign up for or register for. the Server Alias is the name of the server you want to connect to, like irc.bigblueball.com . The Nickname field is basically your screenname once you log into the server, and the Username is whatever you want it to be. it can be your real name, or a screenname, pretty much anything.
