[May 2008] Member of the Month Nominations

This is the nomination discussion for the BigBlueBall's Member of the Month contest.

Nominations will be accepted until the last day of April. Both staff and non-staff members are eligible for nomination.

IMPORTANT: When nominating please post the member's name, a short description (optional) and/or reason for nominating him/her that will motivate others to second the nomination. If the staff feels that a nomination post is too vague, ambiguous or illogical, it will be edited accordingly.

Any nominations without a member name, description and/or reason for nomination will NOT be entered into the poll. Please ensure that your nomination is in this format:

Reason/s for Nomination: This is mandatory. List your reasons here.

When seconding nominees, please ensure that you use the same member for the maximum of three allowed seconds. Any seconds not located in your first seconding post will not be counted. Please also ensure that you quote the nomination member you are seconding in your post (Use Multi-Quote Option if you are seconding multiple nominees). If there is no member name provided then the post will be ignored when the nominations are counted.

Also, please make sure that you are seconding a member that has already been nominated. Any seconds for a member that has not been nominated yet will be counted as null and void.

Please post only nominations or seconds, no "Thank you" or other posts are needed, they clutter the thread and will be deleted.

Any queries regarding the MotM nominations should be sent via PM to Jeff (BigBlueBall Administrator).

Hmmm... seeing how there have been no nominations yet for the May MotM, and seeing how it's late on April 30th... I'll kick things off by nominating...

Description: She's one of the newer staffers.
Reason for nomination: You might think that being on the staff, participation is a given, but she's always doing what she can to help in the forums and she's one of the more active members of the entire staff. She's always posting her ideas, and I see she's even posted a review! Patndoris, are there more like you, cuz we need'em!

I second patndoris, and add a nomination for Yahooligan.

He (she?) has been an active member for over two years.

Reason? Being a member is not enough to be nominated, IMHO, but Yahooligan has been consistently active over time. His posts are sometimes entertaining and sometimes really useful, but he helps keep things lively.

Wow, nothing like waiting til the last minute, eh? According to MY clock, it's already May 1st.

But just in case I can get this in under the wire, I'll go ahead and second gandalf's nomination for yahooligan, AND I will add my own nomination for sarahtowny.

Yeah, I know, another staff member gettting a nod, but I swear to you, I am NOT brown-nosing!!! She hangs out mostly in the off topic areas, but she's fun, and that's worth something in my book. Go Sarah!!!

Thanks for your votes that has tickled me pink.

My vote goes to Yahooligan, the reason being we had a banter about a flickr thing he was great he put in his argument, was not unjust and was very reasonable about something I was just so miffed about. After reflection he was right, I was up in arms and he understood I was just being upset and miss prissy he was great.

I won't forget that.
