I am pleased to announce this months member of the month is MrOats

He has been a member here for 3 years and is always one of the first to say hello to any of our new members, always helpful and it was not a surprise that we all voted for him. If anything it was about time he went into our hall of fame.

Well done, he as done a little interview for you all, here goes:

How did you find out about BigBlueBall? What made you stay?
I believe I was looking up a problem for AIM or Yahoo! messenger and BigBlueBall was number 1 on Google. I originally thought it was "just a support forum", but after reading some of the off-topic threads, it really interested me and kept me coming back for more.

Why did you choose MrOats as your username?

I really enjoy Oats/Oat products. I'm pretty much amazed with the food. Especially the chewy granola bars from the Quaker oat company. I also really enjoy maple and brown sugar/flavored oatmeal. Honey bunches of oats is great also.

How many years have you been using computers? What do you with your computer?

I used computers since I was about 9 years old but did not use the internet/instant messaging until I was about 13 years old. On my computer I listen to my iTunes playlist, surf the web, shop online (I like getting used books really cheap), buy stuff on eBay, and instant message with friends and family.

How long have you been instant messaging?

When I first started using the internet: since I was 13 years old. (5 years now).

What is your favorite instant messenger?

I was a big, big fan of AIM and used it alone for years, then Trillian was another favorite. Digsby is really growing on me now though, and is my current favorite.

What is your favorite BigBlueBall forum?

The BigBlueBall Lounge (Previously the Off-Topic forum). I really enjoy reading the threads and posting replies. Some of my favorite parts of the BigBlueBall Lounge are the "what makes you laugh" section and the "music room".

What do you do when you're not online?

I am probably listening to my iPod, watching television/movies, reading, or jogging.

What are your favorite movie, book and song?

I can't boil down to my favorite movie, book and song - there's so much to choose from! Some of my favorite movies are Kill Bill (Volume I and II) and Office Space. My favorite book series is Harry Potter, and my favorite band is Say Anything. All Say Anything songs are my favorite, I guess you could say.

Anything else you would like to add?

I would like to thank Jeff for creating BigBlueBall and thank all loyal BigBlueBall members! You have really made this community special and fun to visit. And thank you for choosing me for September 2008 MoTM!

Well, I'm pleased to see that my boy Andrew got the votes for September's MotM (and I'm glad I nominated him!) Congratulations, MrOats, and long may oats rule (I'm a fan of honey bunches of oats too)

Hope you'll get your T-shirt soon. I'm still waiting for mine (maybe it was dropped over the Pacific?

Congratulations, Andrew! I've notice you consistently help newcomers feel welcome. I had oatmeal for breakfast in your honor.

Andrew! I can't think of a more perfect way to recognize you for your consistent, outstanding, and totally fun contributions here. I may not get here as often as before... but when I heard you were MoTM I just had to pop by. Guess it's a good thing that *plan* didn't go through or you may not have gotten the nomination

Gosh, PolarBear, you ARE behind the times. I (blush) got the MotM a second time, and it's the second T-shirt I'm waiting for. Can't get enough of a good thing, you know. And besides, my first one is beginning to wear out, heh heh.

And just what "plan" were you talking about?
