[April 2008] Member of the Month Nominations

This is the nomination discussion for the BigBlueBall's Member of the Month contest.

Nominations will be accepted until the last day of March. Both staff and non-staff members are eligible for nomination.

IMPORTANT: When nominating please post the member's name, a short description (optional) and/or reason for nominating him/her that will motivate others to second the nomination. If the staff feels that a nomination post is too vague, ambiguous or illogical, it will be edited accordingly.

Any nominations without a member name, description and/or reason for nomination will NOT be entered into the poll. Please ensure that your nomination is in this format:

When seconding nominees, please ensure that you use the same member for the maximum of 3 allowed seconds. Any seconds not located in your first seconding post will not be counted. Please also ensure that you quote the nomination member you are seconding in your post (Use Multi-Quote Option if you are seconding multiple nominees). If there is no member name provided then the post will be ignored when the nominations are counted.

Also, please make sure that you are seconding a member that has already been nominated. Any seconds for a member that has not been nominated yet will be counted as null and void.

Please post only nominations or seconds, no "Thank you" or other posts are needed, they clutter the thread and will be deleted.

Reasons for Nomination: Doris has always been very helpful to our members since she joined BBB in November 2006. She is methodical in helping members troubleshoot their problems, oftentimes even going step-by-step; a very patient approach, if I may say so. Lately, she has also been sharing with us her experiences of using software (her Open Office and Acronis posts are a revelation, trust me, Doris, I will get down to trying it!)

Her warm and friendly manner of writing in her posts is another gem. Keep up the good work, Doris!

Reasons for my nomination: He has been a regular member for many years and is still very active. He posts some very interesting comments in The BigBlueBall Lounge and other areas.

Reasons for Nomination: I was very impressed with the detail in the first post of this new member here at BBB! Not only was complete system information included, but also on third party add-ons, as well as a thorough description of the error and a possible application the member thought might be related to the issue. It's clear and complete information like this that makes trying to troubleshoot and solve problems more effective, and likely to produce a resolution to the issue.

His contributions to the ENTIRE site are noteworthy. His dispensation of knowledge in the computer support and Yahoo forums are truly helpful to those with questions. His contributions to the lounge, facebook, what-makes-you-laugh, and other off topic areas are again, helpful, insightful, and even make you think *gasps*

VvWolverinevV is a fine example of the ultimate BBB member, and therefore deserves this honor, this month!

Reasons for Nomination: Philip has been a since 2006 and is extremely helpful all around the forums. He has never given up on BBB and always gave ideas on how to get it back on track and active. He is also one of the first ones to get things going especially with all the updates to come (not that others don't!). A lot of people love BBB and love to see it grow but Philip shows extreme passion for this and I'm glad to have him around and greatly think he deserves this honor especially since he's motivated me to stick around more to watch BBB change and grow into bigger & better things..
