Well, thanks to TiVo, I have been watching season three FOUR. It is puzzling.

The Oceanic Six ate miraculously rescued, yet no clue what happens to the rest. Well, there is some clue... An allusion that they are still alive... But why can't the rest of the world know?

I've almost finished watching the finale of Season 3. Boy, this is a show which demands 110% concentration from the viewer, otherwise you won't know what the hell's going on. I had hoped that Season 4 would be the last, but word has it they are planning another 3 seasons (gulp!)

Yes they planned 3 more seasons that will consist of 16 episodes each. However, due to the writer's strike there are gonna be just 8 episodes at the moment (in season 4), then a short break (don't know for how long) and a few more episodes afterwards.

We don't know why the world can't know so far but we can guess that the island's mystery, healing properties or whatever it is that's going on there, must not be made known to the public. Also, time seems to move slower in the island than in the 'real' world.
In the first 6 episodes we have received quite a few answers.

I won't say more cause Philip hasn't watched the new season yet

Well, I've just finished watching the entire Season 3 on DVD, and it was intense. George is probably going to disagree with me on this, but...I don't know how much more I can take . The end of Season 3 has flash-forwards (yes, we're going post-island now) and features a very unhappy and intoxicated Jack attempting suicide. Obviously the island has become an opium to him, and now (as he tells Kate) he wishes he could return to it...

I really wish J.J. Abrams would tie up all the loose ends in Season 4 and be done with it. This is beginning to be a really long-haul watch...guess I'm not a 100% Lostie

Yeah, I'm starting to lose interest. I don't want to watch for two more seasons after this.

Philip, isn't season four available there on TV? You should be able to watch online if nothing else.

Jeff, they're only showing Season 3 here. I have to d/l Season 4 and hopefully the twists and turns won't be too excessive.

I love the show although the time is jusst stupid! Since kids (like me) watch lost I think it should switch times with Grey's Anatomy so it will be on earlier and you can still get some sleep

It depresses me that there are still two more seasons planned AFTER this one. It's too much of a time commitment!!

I've kept up with season four, but I agree with fanatic -- I don't know if I can hang in there for two more seasons.

I will say that it's a bit like a fog is slowly lifting as they reveal more clues about the island and the future.
