Rambo 4 and the Rambo Series

Well, what can I say, except that this is the most violent among the Rambo flicks. There isn't much of a storyline: Christian missionaries going into a remote part of Burma (now it's actually Myanmar) but if you look at this BBC website, a lot of atrocities shown in the movie are terrifyingly true.

Anyway, the missionaries get captured by the bad guys, and guess who steps in to save the day. From that point on in the movie, there's non-stop action (heck, I like that sort of thing once in a while) and the blood and body count builds up quickly. Luckily it's all over in 90 minutes.

Rambo comes full circle because by the end of the movie, he has returned to the States, hopefully to retire. Not a bad movie, but I felt First Blood was the best of the lot.

I want to see it.
The first blood was the best, I agree. One of these days I'll want to have a brainless 2 hour time watching it along with some popcorn.

The road to success is always under construction.

Yeah George. Rambo 4 is one of those movies where your brain doesn't have to work too hard to know the plot. Just chill and enjoy the action (there's plenty).

Well, call me an old fart, call me irresponsible, whatever...but me and the missus decided to get all the 4 Rambo flicks and watch them back to back. Ah, it's fun and nostalgic to watch Sly beat the crap out of those bad guys. I salute you, John Rambo!

On a more serious note, I do have the utmost respect for all those vets who served in Nam...

I find reviving old movies like rambo just a ploy to make money and they are usually very bad, rambo 4 is another good example.

Yeah. Just look at the new Rocky movie a couple years ago. They want to pimp out Sly's most famous characters one more time I guess.

Another example is Harrison Ford and the new Indiana Jones movie later this year. What next, old man Han Solo? =P
