Somehow I missed your reply. The point is, most plots don't involve teenagers or even twenty-somethings. Yet the twenty-something actors get the parts. Stupid.

Perfect example: Rear Window was a terrific Hitchcock classic starring Jimmy Stewart (not a twenty-something). The 2007 remake Disturbia starred Shia LaBeouf and twisted the plot to make it work with a high school teenager. Not even in the same class as the original.

Too many movies try to "look young" rather than using mature actors.

FWIW, I'm 27, so don't think I've got some sort of anti-youth bias.

That's true although I did like Disturbia. Although thinking about it, you are right, most movies do involve characters that should be more mature.

On the other hand movies I can recall I've watched recently are: The Haunting of Connecticut, Twilight, Into the Blue 2: The Reef, Slaughter, The Reader, Hotel for Dogs, Bride Wars, Legally Blondes, Marley and Me, The Butterfly Effect 3: Revelations, Transporter 3, Role Models, Beverly Hill Chihuahua, Changeling, and I'm sure there is more but I just can't recall them at the moment.

Next two movies I plan to watch definately are: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Obsessed.

I told my psychiatrist that everyone hates me. He said I was being ridiculous - everyone hasn't met me yet.
