Eh, I didn't watch it. A lot of my friends were confused because they never saw Star Trek in their life and they would fell left out when the audience would scream at the sight of a "big" character. They said it had great action, though and it was pretty funny. Maybe I'll watch it when it comes to Blu-Ray.

As for the movie... I thought it was okay. Great action sequences, pretty good writing, but... the plot was a little contrived for my tastes. Also, does JJ Abrams have some sort of fetish for lens flares? Geez. As I was going down the stair, I met a man who wasn't there. [ twitter ]He wasn't there again today; I wish I wish he'd go away. |

Go Figure. I told my psychiatrist that everyone hates me. He said I was being ridiculous - everyone hasn't met me yet. |

Though, I noticed the lens-flare thing a lot more because someone had mentioned it to me before I saw the movie. So maybe that's the reason. And the plot being contrived... less the story arc/character development part than the premise it was all founded on. I won't say more than that to avoid spoiling anything. Any movie based on that premise gets a little iffy. As I was going down the stair, I met a man who wasn't there. [ twitter ]He wasn't there again today; I wish I wish he'd go away. |
