something strange happened to me..... i got Norton AV 2002 and when it was installed, Norton ran a check for virus on my system.... and guess wat? it found a virus in its own folder.... this is wat i mean... it found a virus in Norton AV 2002 folder in C:/Program Files....

Thats the first place a virus goes is to knock out the defense system ( In your case it happened to be Norton's ) so it can't be dectected, luckily u caught it in time .

well as soon as i installed Norton AV..... i restarted my computer and as my computer restarted... Norton checked the computer b4 i could access my internet.... and without downloading or any internet activity.... norton a friggin virus in its own folder and its own file.....

WOW ur really lucky you are!! imagine if u hadnt restarted the computer...u wuda been totally vulnerable!!! *wipes away a bead of sweat*, im sure u can relax now!!! next step is to get a firewall if u dont already have one, and ull be nice and safe from hackers....HOPEFULLY!!!

We live in a world, when there is always someone who will try to mess things up, reguardless how hard you try to avoid them.It's a damn shame, they dont use thier abilities in a better and less distructive manner.Sure would make it a nicer place to live in now wouldn't it.

Quite possibly it was put there by the virus still on your computer that has now disabled you current AV software.

well i uninstalled Norton and i the "virus" file also got deleted with it
