HELP! "..messages could not be delivered.."

Ahhh!! I keep getting that stupid message that says "The following messages could not be delivered to the following recipients." At which time all of my previous messages that I had typed pop back up! Whereas I can't communicate to that contact! The same thing happens to my friend when he im's me sometimes! We call it the conspiracy.. haha.. But anyway! Seriously HELP! Is there anything to keep that from reocurring? What causes it? Its driving me up the walls!! AHH!!
Thanks!*
Krista

Have you tried signing out of and exiting out of Messenger? Is the person you sent the messages to...actually still online at the time? Maybe if it continues, uninstall and then re-install msn messenger again and see if it helps any. It could well be a problem with msn itself.
Any more ideas?

Sometimes when u log off, at the other end on someones contact list, u can take a while to disappear and become offline...so that contact may be typing to u thinkin that ur online when ur not!! thats why the messages dont get delivered.

Also, if sum 1 goes offline and u dont close the window and then they come bak on again, sumtimes when u try to talk to them wif the same window, the messages do not get sent! if this happens, just close the window and re open a new one and chat away!!!

the best thing to do if ur messages arent being delivered is to try to close the chat session and open a new one and see if that works....if that fails, log off and log bak on again

Ack!
Okay here.

I find that the non-delivering messages, the "still appearing online although contact is really offline" n' shtuff generally happens on slow connections with a combo of a slow/partially outdated computer... more specifically any dial-up connection n' a... slow computer.

But what do I know?

That seems like the right idea to me!! one girl that i no has an increadibly slow connection and when she signs off, it takes around 5 minutes for to appear offline.

This usually happens when u try to send sum 1 a message at the same time they close the window, or a second later...its an annoying coincidence when it does happen!!

I seem to get this messages ALOT when I download something. (Not on Messenger) I do close the chat window, and re-open it, but it doesnt fix the problem. Or sometimes, if I start by typing a fairly large message to begin the conversation, it doesnt allow the message to go thru (I get that "message couldnt be del...") Then I continue by typing something small like "hi" or just a random key to allow the messages to go thru.
And I do also agree this is very annoying!
