Without them theres no web, you computers swap IP numbers each time you send/recieve a message. This is a basic function of identification for the internet.

ummm.... i got a question.... and the most common one.. since u claim that computers swap the IPs... how do u find the IP when they "SWAP" the IPs?

Store?
Store??
'Puter's store IP addresses? Shoot.
Why didn't anyone tell me?
Someone correct me if I'm wrong - but 'puters don't "store" IP addresses unless you gots special configuration n' a special program.

Other than that - the only way to find out a person's IP is when you are connected to them. Once you break the connection you cannot find out their IP. Through messengers? I'm not 100% sure but I don't think you can get an IP addy thorugh a messenger 'cept AIM when you make a direct connection.

Wait a sec....
Please remind me who the one asking the question is?
Yes that's right, you.
Automatically putting yourself in a position of inferiority n' ignorance.
I try to answer you, but apparently my answer isn't ....what? Good enough for you? Or is it not technical enough?
Either that - or you knew the answer all along.
So what was the point of asking the question if you knew the answer? To test out our knew "Brains 2000"? I got mine from the flea market.

I'm putting my bow down here. I don't want to use you as target practice anymore. You can take the bow - it's only a York Cadet bow anyways. Juss wait until I get that Champion Eclipse Compound Bow I've been drooling over.

check this out... the IP u use to access internet is either fake or temporary.... go to google and search for "how to find my IP" and u will get a bunch of site that will giv u ur IP..... which must be fake/temporary... and if u use XP go to command prompt and put in IPconfig.... and it will giv u ur real IP beside "IP address" and match the IP u got from the site and the command prompt.... if they match ur in big trouble and if they dont match ur safe coz 70% of the time a hacker wont be able to hack u.... hehe
y the hell do u need a friggin' IP that has no use to u....

You are correct. With the exception of a brute force search which is beyond the scope of this enquirers post.

Simply by using a DOS program already supplied and part of your operating system.
Had you been smart enough to read past posts you would already know this as it has been a subject here several times.
