Cant send files via Messenger 5.0

Ok, here's my problem. I used to be able to send files with Messenger 4.6(maybe 50% of the time). I dl'd version 5.0 and I cant send files at all. I use a Linksys Router (which explains my problem I guess). I read some of the previous post's on this subject and thought my problem was solved. I followed a link to the Linksys site and downloaded the latest firmware version. I upgraded it and what not, but I still cant send files!! Any help would be appreciated

I have this file, that works with 2000/xp - it solves your connectivity problem. Im not trying to spam but you can get it from the add ons for msn in downloads here. http://mcadam14.valuehost.co.uk/pafi...=category&id=2 you can also post a forum if that dont work

Have you considered going back to Messenger 4.6? If that's the only variable that has changed, and 4.6 worked through your router, you could load 4.6 as a "Plan B" until a better solution arrives. You can get the old version at OldVersion.com (where else?!).
