What internet connection are you on? What operating system are you on?
I just installed 4.6-the latest version of 4.6, and I cant seem to use file transfer. I dont have a firewall installed (yet) nor a AV. What can the problem be? the error sais that the file was undiliverable, and I should ask my network admin, or ISP about this, but I dont have a network, and I dont think that it is important enough to call my ISP.
I was able to recieve 1 transfer, so, any one know what the problem could be, and how to fix it.
OK Last night, someone tried to send me a picture, (small file) but it said that the other party stoped the transfer,. and they stated that they didnt. Then I asked another friend to send me one, and it worked fine. What the hell is going on here...

I think the "Other Party" was lying, try sending a file to me, and we'll prove that!quote:OK Last night, someone tried to send me a picture, (small file) but it said that the other party stoped the transfer,. and they stated that they didnt. No they were not lying. I was having modem problems. I had a Rockwell Modem, and couldnt find the correct drivers I needed from www.modemhelp.org (or www.modemhelp.net) so I went out and bought a new one. Its now an Agere, and file transfter works like new![]()

That's an unusual problem. I've never heard of a modem problem that allowed you to connect to the Internet and have partial functionality, but fail in other areas. But thanks for letting us know what the solution was.
Actually, because I didnt have the correct drivers for the modem, it never let me do a whole bunch of things. It decided which web pages it wanted to load, if at all, and even images. Decided which things it wanted me to download. My download speed was 370 bites (YES BITES!!!)/sec.. there was a lot.
Even though I have a new modem now, and my internet is ALOT faster, it still doesnt compare to my schools DSL!!
