Weird, No New Messages?

I got a weird problem this time, i've got about 75 new emails in my hotmail, and my msn is showing No New Email Messages from this morning, I think thats because my hotmail is almost full, but not sure, i'll empty my inbox if I have some time to sort out some important emails, but is that the problem?
I mean, if I empty my inbox, will my MSN (Messenger) show new messages again?
BTW I get email allerts though, e.g:
"You've received an email from: blah blah blah"

The real reason is:- there's no NEW emails from this morning.

yes but if the emails have not been read yet, then when you open msn messenger, it should say that you have new emails!

Exactly Phil, I do have loads of Unread Messages in my inbox and my MSN doesn't show them

Are you sure they are in you inbox and not your bulk mail folder?

Yeah, and it shows the right number of emails when I go to File>My Hotmail Inbox

It says there: My Hotmail Inbox (80 New Messages)

I've had the same problem as well. When I sign in the little box pops up and says "You have __ new emails in your hotmail inbox" but in the main window it says "No new email messages". My account was half full so I don't think the problem has anything to do with the size of your account. The problem stopped after a few days. Many ppl have had this problem but we have yet to find out what the cause of it is.

Actually it doenst matter if your account is full or not. There has been times when i wouldnt check my hotmail for 2 or 3 days and i would have about 200 emails. In the popup it gives it says you have 200 new messages so doesnt matter if its full or not.

Yeah it doesn't matter, I emptied my mailbox and tried it again, and still didn't work, so I tried to sign in with my brother's ID & Password, and had the same problem.
Do you think its a problem with my system or The (M$N) Hotmail Server?
