What Operating system do you have? If you have XP or ME you can do a system restore and roll your computer back a few days. It has done wonders for me and problems. Remember to restore it to a time before you noticed the problem happening.

i think its got nothing to do with your computer, but its the MSN MEssenger server or something, which is out of our control

One question, and one suggestion....

First the question: Did MSN Messenger 5.0 previously work for you? If so, has anything changed around the time it stopped working (network configuration, new software, etc.)?

And now the suggestion: You mentioned that you're using a router. Try configuring MSN Messenger to use a proxy, and use the internal IP of the router as the proxy address. This sometimes solves connections problems with routers, but would only make sense if it didn't previously work with your current router/software configuration.

it doesnt matter whayt version it is, i have tried to sign in on msn6,msn5 and windows4, it has nothing to do with what our comps are or the specs i think its a problem with microsoft
