this sucks!

i cant connect to msn messenger service after i downloaded msn 6 beta it wont let me sign in a couple times it said i was behind a firewall but i have no clue how to get rid of it i tried uninstalling msn and then downloading msn 5 or 6 but same problem no one can find the problem maybe you can? it says im not connected to the internet i can look at anysite i want but i can get instant messaging i know its not our connection cuz my sisters laptop works fine on the same line but ive done sooooooo much to it i dont think theres anything left to do but anyway please email me back and help me out here thanx
