my friend keeps getting disconnect from msn and brings him to the sign in screen.

umm, OK. Your going to have to provide us with WAY more information.

Is it a hotmail .NT passport account, version of msn/windoes messenger, OS version, any errors, how long has this happened etc...
It is in changing we find purpose

he just downloaded the 6.0 he is using a yahoo email address and is using Window XP HE
and i think it just started happening when he first got it like 2 days ago

Does it happen in any other versions of MSN / Windows Messenger? when is he redirected to the sign in screen? after how long? does it always happen? has he tried to reinstall MSN6?
