Messenger 4.7 Problem

I'm having a few problems trying to get the add-in download from the MS site. It keeps directing me to it, then the link changes and directs me to d/l MSN 6. I don't wan't that one it's bulky and bloated.

Does anyone know where I can get the add-in that I am talking about? Or if anyone has it can I get it?

The add-in? There is no add-in for MSN Messenger on the Microsoft site as far as I am aware of. If you're looking for an old version of MSN Messenger, check www.oldversion.com.

When you open up the MSN Window click: Tools>Addin Website (doesn't get much simpler then that)

And oldversion.com only goes up to v. 4.7 ... Where did 5xxxx go?

Oh the add-in i'm wanting to get lets you be able to check emails etc. which I can't do unless i go to hotmails website, which doesn't exactly thrill me to bits to do

Well Jabaroo, it seems Microsoft is ending consumer support for Windows Messenger in its attempt to switch users over to it's MSN Messenger. Microsoft has taken all Windows Messenger related software off of its Messenger site, including the Add-in. I did however find an off-site link you can use.

Get the MSN Add-in For Windows Messenger

Microsoft is now Developing Windows Messenger for Corporate use only and is currently beta testing v.5. MSN Messenger does have an older version 5 and I think perhaps you are confusing the two.
