whiteboard not working

I can use MSN 6 fine, except I cannot use whiteboard.

I have the lastest version of MSN 6 that was given here (thanks!)
I have upgraded my linksys router to be UPnP compliant.
I have my Internet Connection Firewall turned off.
I have the latest version of Windows Messenger.
I have xp home

here's the error message I get, but only when i sign into Windows Messenger... it's the only thing i can clearly see that might suggest why whiteboard doesn't work:

"


my friend gets this error when I try whiteboard with her:

"call cannot be answered
caller is experiencing a computer problem or a network problem
"

any ideas? thanks.....
