I have messenger 4.7 I can send files, but cannot recieve them. I am behind a D-link router. I threw myself in a DMZ just to make sure, and still couldnt recieve files. Any ideas?
I haven't been able to send/receive files between MSN6/MSN4.7, is the other user on MSN6?
They must have some different way of connection as they cant seem to sync up to each other.
Can you upgrade to MSN6? It should work just fine if you both have the same version, if not, then It would have to be a Network issue. Does the other user also have a router - or an Internet filewall?
sad thing is i do networkin for a livin. though i checked all the bases, ports and stuff and other things (bound to miss the simplest thing though, usualy how it works). everything on my side is good, and ive tested it out with other users with and without firewalls. I think it is the version difference like you were mentioning. I guess i will quick fix it and upgrade. but i would still like to know exactly what the problem is between the versions that is causing it. thnx
