Messenger hangs when rnning both Video and Audio

this problem is bugging me for weeks now.
I try to establish Video confrence between two machines. As long as both people remain silent there is no problem. The video stream on both sides is nice and tidy. However, when any of us starts making nosises (=talking..) , The video freezes and finally MSN messnger stop responding. When it does that, you cant kill the process , you must restart. This is very frustrating.
It always hangs on the same machine, the other machine is uneffected.

Both machines are P4 with 256M of RAM , running WinXP home, MSN messnger 6.0 final version. Both machines have logitech quickcam express installed.

Cant anybody please help ?
I tried contacting Microsoft, but they don't have a clue...

i have the same prob . bbb said it was because im on 56k line .yet whats anoying is i can have both pic and sound with other side of the world but trying to have a crack with my mate 3 miles away dosent workand hs on broadband
