Messenger Games problem

Original Post: PLEASE help me!! I'm using a router and I cannot seem to connect to any of the Games on the new MSN 6 (version 6.0.0602). Does anyone know how to get around this?? Say with port forwarding or something along those lines? I am running XP, and YES, the firewall is disabled.

I figured it would be easier if I posted a new thread

When I contacted Linksys (the manufacturers of my router) they told me to contact Microsoft to find out how to configure MSN to work behind NAT, or port forwarding. Does anyone have any ideas?

This problem is becoming riduculous. I've been to a number of forums trying to find an answer to this problem and NO ONE has one for me, or for the many others who are having the same problem. I've even contacted Microsoft for tech support and they don't have an answer either. You would think Microsoft would have taken a look at this problem considering how prominent it is Don't mean to nag but this is extremely frustrating

Hmm..no one seems to have an answer for you Gimped.

If you haven't already you can check out a Search For Router, Games.

Just keep looking...and let us know if you find a fix.

The Final Version of MSN Messenger 6 does not require any patches to allow games to work. In the past, some Beta versions required patches to enable gaming features, but Microsoft has enabled it for the Final build.
