MSN IM doesnt work with Creative Web Blaster Web C

I cant get the new MSN IM work with my web cam. My web cam is a Web Blaster Web Cam. Is their something wornd with my graphics card maybe?

did it work before with other im. i have a creative 750 web cam and it works ok in msn 6.if you wave a personal firewall that could be a problem.

I dont think I have a firewall. How do I check.

look in your programs to see if anything reads personal firewall su ch as norton personal firewall.all i have is kerio personal firewall and its a free download and works ok with msn im . had to take norton off .

Nope, no firewall. I have no idea why it is not wokring, someone please help!

I know this looks kind of basic, but...are u sure it is recognizing the cam?
Did you check if your system is recognizing the cam with its brand and everything instead of just detecting a USB image device?
What kind of message are you getting from MSN?
There are times when you don´t need to install drivers for some applications but you do for others...so maybe if you try intalling/reinstalling the drivers for your current OS, that might help. Updating drivers from the device manufacturer might be a good idea too, maybe your old drivers don´t work anymore...

Here is the message i get from MSN IM when I try to start a webcam IM:

"Your conversation cannot begin because your camera is currently in use or not plugged in. Make sure your camera is available and try again."

The problem is that everything works fine when I use the web cams software. I have a Creative Video Blaster WebCam. Everything works fine when I go through the MSN IM Audio and Vidoe Tuning Wizard to, but when I try to go to Web Camer a settings afterwards it tells me:

"MSN IM cannot detect a camera"

I dont know.

I think there is a good probability that the drivers are not updated, obviously you installed them with the camera software, but most of the times you can update them from the manufacturer´s site, so they work with current applications.
Also, make sure you plug in the USB camera before restarting your computer. Sometimes if you plug in the camera afterwards it wont recognize it, even with the drivers intalled.
Check that the Cam software does not start automatically and runs in the background, if it does close it before starting your webcam request.
Check this three points...it is just not seeing you have a cam...

EDIT: The fact that the cam software works does not contradict the fact that MSN does not...as I said some applications need some
drivers..some other don´t.
EDIT2: Just checked online and there are driver updates available in Creative´s site...take a look, just in case.

Nope, the drivers are not even available from Creative any more for this camera. I think I might be screwed.
