Problems running MSN Messenger 6
I am having 2 problems with MSN 6 - first I can't install it (Windows 98) without getting
"MESSENGER HAS ENCOUNTERED A PROBLEM AND NEEDS TO CLOSE. WE ARE SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE. ERROR SIGNATURE APPNAME: MSNMSGR.EXE APPVER: 6.0.0.602 MODNAME: MSNMSGR.EXE OFFSET: 0024ed0e, THEN DEBUG,SEND ERROR REPORT, DON'T SEND. This also happens when I open Outlook Express 6.
I have tried installing and uninstalling at least a dozen times, in safe mode, using MSDOS command prompts, with all other programs running (including NAV), with no success.
Looking at my msi log file, I think it is actually installing successfully, it's the running part that doesn't work.
