Hello seattle guy, I don't think anyone could do this way. All I know is if you don't wish to continue using your Hotmail/MSN accounts, just don't log in for messages, and the accounts will be deactivated within thirty days. Once the accounts are deactivated after thirty days, it will be re-activated after you log in.

according to the Hotmail Help window, to close your account:

"Go to the [u]Close Account[/b] page and follow the instructions.

Note: Your account can also be closed if you stop using it. If you don't sign in for 30 days (or within the first 10 days), your account will become inactive. At that time, any messages in your account will be deleted and inbound e-mail will be refused. Your Passport will still function, and your Hotmail e-mail name will be reserved. If your account stays inactive for a further 90 days, it is permanently deleted, and your e-mail name is no longer reserved.

In order to cancel your MSN subscription service, please visit Microsoft Billing at: https://billing.microsoft.com. If necessary, sign in again."

the text "close account" is a link, but the link i get wont work for you, since this one is for my account only. I found the stuff above by clicking the "Help" link above the hotmail inbox, then doing a search for "cancel" in the little search box it gives you. one of the search results is "Close your Hotmail account" - click that
