HELP! every msn wont log in! >_<

i click to sign in the icons spin around per usual and it says signing in.. and then it just stops.. the program seems to hang.. i press ctrl alt del and it isnt responding. ive tried both msn 6 and msn 5.. it used to work fine with msn 5.. ive tried reinstalling hundreds of times.. and ive tried using trillian to access my msn but it wont connect. ive also tried using friends signins and they wont work for me either. PLEASE HELP!1 im using win 98 se.

have you tried signing in on a different computer? Perhaps you have a firewall installed that won't let your messenger connect anymore?

do you use a router? if you do you might want to look into port forwarding on the port that MSN uses (i think its 1863 but im not sure). I had a similar problem and I finally did some port forwarding and not it works fine
